Community E-Learning Centre - Aryanad Village

As part of the initiatives under ‘Mission Marg Darshan’, IISER Thiruvananthapuram in coordination with the local panchayats of the adopted villages, has initiated a programme to establish Community E-Learning Centre in each adopted village, where in e-learning devices will be installed at a common place so that the deprived students who don’t have access to the e-learning platforms can become a part of the online educational programme implemented by the Government of Kerala.

The Second Community E-Learning Centre under this programme is established today (12th June 2020) at Deviyarkunnu Tribal Settlement in Aryanad Grama Panchayath.

Shri. Sabarinath MLA (Aruvikkara) inaugurated the Community E-Learning Centre by streaming Victers channel for the students. Prof. M P Rajan Nodal officer Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Aryanad Panchayat President Smt. Shamila Bheegam, Shri. Manoj Kumar Officer in charge, UBA Cell, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. Hemalatha Medical officer, IISER THiurvananthapuram and Program Manager Vishnu addressed the gathering of students, parents and tribal community of Theviyarkunnu area.

Prof. M P Rajan Nodal officer Unnat Bharat Abhiyan has intimated that three more such Community E-Learning Centres are planning to be established in the first phase at various places in the adopted villages. Further a programme “Donate your Device” has also been launched wherein the staff and students of IISER Thiruvananthapuram has been urged to donate Laptop/ PC/ TV / Smart Phone / Tablets to distribute to the needy students in the adopted villages.
