With the sudden surge in the number of covid cases during the second wave, the Kerala state government has started Covid front Line Treatment Centers (CFLTC) across the state to strengthen the health infrastructure. The government has turned colleges, wedding halls, and stadiums into CFLTCs. By setting up CFTCs in every block the state government is trying to ensure free and accessible public health facilities to the public. The CFLTCs will function under the supervision of health centers and Taluk hospitals.
The UBA cell of IISER Thiruvananthapuram has been actively contributing to fight the pandemic since the outbreak.
